Biolevate raises €30M Series A to expand AI platform for life sciences
Life sciences AI company Biolevate has raised €30 million in Series A funding to expand its platform for automating scientific and regulatory workflows and support its international growth. The round was co-led by RAISE France, the investment vehicle of French entrepreneur Aymar Hénin, and Orange Ventures, with participation from MSD Global Health Innovation Fund (MGHIF), Station F, and existing investor EQT Ventures.
Founded in Paris by former Dataiku engineers and AI researchers, Biolevate is focused on addressing operational challenges across the life sciences industry. As AI speeds up drug discovery and development, pharmaceutical companies are under increasing pressure to manage the scientific and regulatory processes required to bring new therapies to market.
Biolevate has developed an enterprise agentic AI platform that turns scientific and regulatory knowledge into auditable workflows. The platform keeps AI-generated outputs grounded in source evidence, helping life sciences organisations use AI in regulated environments while maintaining human oversight.
The platform was initially developed to speed up regulatory approval processes but has since expanded across the life sciences value chain. It now supports research, clinical trials, health technology assessments, regulatory dossiers, drug discovery, and drug development. The platform can run up to 100,000 AI agents simultaneously.
According to Biolevate, its technology has made systematic literature reviews and research synthesis 16 times faster and improved efficiency in regulatory intelligence and compliance by 80 per cent.
Since raising its seed round in 2024, Biolevate has expanded its partnerships and customer base across the life sciences sector. The company now works with more than a dozen enterprise customers and says its annual recurring revenue has grown over the past year.
We started Biolevate with a mission-driven team united by the belief that AI could improve millions of lives if we empowered the right people and solved the right technological challenges. Today, our vision is becoming reality. Customers are increasingly embracing AI automation at scale, grounded in evidence and under rigorous human oversight,
said Joël Belafa, co-founder and CEO of Biolevate.
He added that the new funding and Biolevate’s recent growth will support its plans for global expansion and help bring AI to more areas of healthcare.
The Series A also comes as Biolevate expands into the US, with plans to open an office in Boston. The company has doubled its workforce over the past year and expects to double its team again in the coming year. Biolevate has also prepared seven patent applications covering several therapeutic areas, with two already filed in Europe.
