London-based precision machining software company CloudNC has raised $20 million in new investment to accelerate the growth of its AI-powered manufacturing technology. The round was led by Nimble Ventures, with participation from Calculus Venture Capital, Entrepreneur First, and LM Ventures, the venture capital arm of Lockheed Martin.

CloudNC’s flagship product, CAM Assist, uses AI to significantly reduce the time needed to create CNC machining strategies and toolpaths. This enables manufacturers to move from design to production faster while helping skilled operators increase their productivity.

By using CAM Assist, machine shops can improve throughput, efficiency and consistency while making better use of the expertise within their teams.

CloudNC’s technology is now used by more than 1,000 machine shops worldwide, including hundreds across the US. The company is also expanding rapidly into new markets, with the latest funding expected to support further customer adoption and market development.

Theo Saville, CEO and co-founder of CloudNC, said:

“Machine shops everywhere are under pressure to quote and program faster, and deliver more with the people and machines they already have.

This investment allows us to stay focused on what matters most to our customers: making CAM Assist even more effective at accelerating daily production, expanding into more markets, and developing new AI products that address critical bottlenecks across machining workflows.”

John Burbank, founder of Nimble Ventures, said:

“CloudNC’s automation of CNC will enable massive increases in onshoring of manufacturing and global production of mission-critical components.”

The funding comes as CloudNC moves from the early adoption of CAM Assist toward broader commercial growth. Its existing customers include Lockheed Martin and Major Tool and Machine, while the new investment will support the company’s go-to-market efforts, including expanding its commercial presence, customer support and partnerships in high-growth markets.

CloudNC is also developing new products, including Quote Agent, which is expected to launch later in 2026. The AI-powered tool is designed to speed up quoting and estimating, helping manufacturers respond to customer enquiries faster and more consistently, reduce administrative work and improve the accuracy of early-stage job assessments.

The company is also working with Knox Systems to achieve FedRAMP certification for CAM Assist. Certification would allow US government agencies, defence contractors and other organisations with strict security and compliance requirements to use the platform for sensitive manufacturing operations.
