Metris Energy, an AI-powered platform for managing energy assets, has raised $5 million in a seed funding round led by PT1 Ventures, Octopus Ventures, AENU, and Blackfinch Ventures. The round also included participation from Plug and Play and Love Ventures. With this latest investment, Metris Energy has raised a total of $7.5 million to date.

Founded in 2025, Metris Energy initially focused on helping solar portfolio operators manage and reconcile data collected from inverters, meters, SCADA systems, CRMs, spreadsheets, and financial tools. The company has since broadened its focus to build a unified data platform for the wider energy industry.

Metris is addressing the fragmented systems that power producers rely on to manage their energy assets. As energy grids become more decentralised and new revenue opportunities emerge through flexibility services, curtailment management, community energy, and corporate power purchase agreements, managing the growing amount of data across different systems has become increasingly complex.

The company’s platform connects data from asset management systems, meters, SCADA, GIS, and energy markets to create an up-to-date digital record of physical energy assets. This allows asset owners to get a clearer, real-time view of their portfolios while providing the data needed to automate workflows, manage revenue, run natural-language queries, and support AI-powered agents.

Alongside the new funding, Metris Energy has also launched Metria AI, an AI-powered interface designed to handle complex tasks that were previously carried out manually by operations teams.

Natasha Jones, founder and CEO of Metris, said the company is addressing the lack of a unified system that allows asset owners and AI agents to view and act on energy portfolios.

Metris was founded on the core belief that the winners of the energy transition won’t be the owners of the most kW of capacity, but those who can view, control and monetise them best. There’s no unified layer that lets asset owners, or the AI agents now entering this space, actually see and act on their portfolio. That's the gap we're closing with Metris.

Metris Energy says its revenue has grown eightfold year-on-year, while its platform now supports more than 10,000 solar plants with a combined capacity of 500MW for power producers.

The company will use the new funding to further develop its AI agent capabilities and expand the platform to support wind and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems. Metris also plans to strengthen its presence across Europe, particularly in Germany, where it has already added several new customers.
