Ahron secures €2.2M to streamline HR processes with AI
Munich-based HR tech startup Ahron has raised €2.2 million in a funding round led by Cusp Capital, with backing from superangels and several HR industry business angels, including Sabine Kohleisen, former Board Member for HR at Mercedes-Benz Group.
Founded late last year by Carl Hoffmann and Rado Pavlov, Ahron is building an AI agent-based platform that automates HR processes across a company’s existing software systems. Instead of introducing another standalone HR tool, the platform works as an intelligent layer on top of the HR technology companies already use.
Ahron is addressing the fragmented nature of enterprise HR technology, where large organisations can rely on more than 100 different tools that often have limited connectivity. Its platform gives AI agents the shared context and rules they need to work across these systems, supporting tasks such as gathering feedback from hiring managers, checking payroll processes and managing employee onboarding.
A key part of the platform is Ahron’s partnership with Celonis. The company uses Celonis’s Process Intelligence technology to build a digital twin of HR processes based on data from existing business systems. This helps Ahron identify processes where AI can be applied and gives its agents the context they need to complete tasks effectively.
The startup is also developing a central control layer that allows companies to set and manage policies and guardrails for how AI agents operate across different HR processes. This is designed to give organisations greater control over AI-driven automation while working across their existing HR systems.
HR is a particularly sensitive area. When AI agents operate independently here, they need clear guardrails and policies to make sure they always act within the rules.
That's exactly what our platform enables: companies can define and manage those guardrails and policies centrally across the entire HR context – for every process and every agent alike,
said Rado Pavlov, co-founder and COO of Ahron.
Ahron says its technology is designed to reduce the amount of time HR teams spend on repetitive administrative tasks, giving them more time to focus on areas such as talent development, leadership and company culture.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has generated more than €1 million in annual recurring revenue and has attracted customers across both the US and Europe.
Our customers don't measure success by how many AI agents they've deployed. They measure it by what actually counts: faster processes, meaningfully lower costs, and HR teams who can put their capacity where it truly creates value – leadership, development, culture. That's the standard we hold ourselves to at Ahron,
said Carl Hoffmann, co-founder and CEO of Ahron.
Ahron plans to use the funding to further develop its product, with a focus on the central control layer that gives its AI agents the context they need, while also supporting international expansion.
