London-Amsterdam-based agentic AI offensive security platform Hadrian has raised €35.68 million ($40 million) in a new funding round to expand across EMEA and the U.S. and increase investment in its engineering and research teams.

The round was co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin, with participation from existing investors HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital and Oetker Ventures. The latest funding brings Hadrian’s total capital raised to nearly €58 million ($65 million).

Rogier Fischer, CEO of Hadrian, said, “Everyone can see that AI is changing the threat landscape. It might also hold the answer, but most people are focused on automating the wrong bits. We have been working with LLMs since before they went mainstream, and we know that AI can work much faster than any human offensive security team. So we built a platform that emulates hackers’ attack paths, helping our customers to understand their key risks and prioritise their security resources appropriately.”

Founded in Amsterdam in 2021 by Fischer, Olivier Beg and Maurice Clin, Hadrian provides an offensive security platform designed to help enterprise security teams identify, validate and remediate vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them.

The company says its agentic engine provides continuous discovery, validation and prioritisation of an organisation’s most critical cyber risks. The platform adapts to each organisation’s environment, probing systems to identify and validate vulnerabilities that could realistically be exploited by attackers. A proprietary predictive discovery agent then autonomously verifies remediation, providing an end-to-end approach to offensive security.

Hadrian argues that AI is reshaping the offensive security landscape, with attackers increasingly able to operate at machine speed. The company points to recent incidents involving AI agents escaping controlled environments and compromising systems with limited or no human intervention. It also cites Anthropic’s disclosures that criminal and state-linked groups have used its models to automate attack chains and develop zero-day exploits.

Against this backdrop, Hadrian says many security teams remain reliant on manual penetration testing and struggle to keep pace with the growing volume of potential vulnerabilities. The resulting flood of irrelevant alerts can make it difficult for teams to distinguish genuine, exploitable risks from noise.

Hadrian believes this creates demand for tools that can identify real-world threats and help security teams focus on the exposures that matter most. Its platform is designed to give businesses a hacker’s-eye view of their digital footprint, identify exploitable vulnerabilities and prioritise remediation across their external attack surface.

The company says humans remain responsible for setting objectives and making key decisions, while AI handles the continuous work in between, providing the speed, coverage and repetition required to monitor security around the clock.

Hadrian combines continuous exposure management with agentic penetration testing in a single platform. Its Atlas product continuously maps an organisation’s external attack surface and uses purpose-built AI agents to determine which exposures are genuinely exploitable. Nora provides on-demand agentic penetration testing designed to match or exceed the capabilities of traditional human-led pentests.

Together, Hadrian says the products provide 10x greater visibility into critical exposures, reduce time to resolution by 80% and deliver 5x the ROI of manual penetration testing.

Damien Henault, Managing Director and Partner at Forgepoint Capital International, said, “There are too many vulnerabilities and noise out there for teams to manage, so they need tools that can help them see clearly and think like AI-armed hackers. Hadrian’s AI native always-on solution delivers both depth and breadth and helps its customers to focus on genuine issues and risks, and the companies using its platform are testament to both its innovative approach and the strength of its team, both aspects which make them a natural choice for us to back.”

Hadrian serves customers across the U.S. and Europe, including Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders such as McKesson, NBCUniversal, Francisco Partners, TotalEnergies, Amadeus, Leroy Merlin and Damen Shipyards.
