Manchester-based Crediflow AI raises €1.8M to streamline commercial lending with AI
Crediflow AI is a Manchester-based fintech developing technology to automate commercial loan processing and reduce manual workloads, has raised €1.8 million (£1.5 million) in funding.
The investment was led by NPIF II – PXN Equity Finance, managed by PXN Ventures under the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II). The €790.84 million (£660 million) fund supports businesses across the North of England, offering loans ranging from €29,957 (£25,000) to €2.4 million (£2 million), alongside equity investments of up to nearly €6 million (£5 million). Early-stage investment firm Haatch and several angel investors also participated in the round.
“Businesses of all sizes and across all sectors often rely on commercial finance for a multitude of reasons, but the processes involved in granting this finance are often largely manual, making the process inefficient and slowing down lending decisions. By automating this area of the sector, Drey and the Crediflow AI team are not just supporting lenders but also removing barriers for companies that need funding to grow,” said Joe Ball, senior investment associate at PXN Ventures.
Founded in 2024 by Drey Kenfack, Crediflow AI draws on its founder's more than 10 years of experience in commercial lending and private credit. Before launching the company, Kenfack held senior credit positions at Ford Credit Bank, DF Capital Bank and Advance Global Capital.
The company has developed a platform that brings together information traditionally collected manually by credit teams, including financial statements, bank transactions and borrower documents. It organises this data into structured credit analysis that lenders can use during the approval process. Its flagship product, FlowSpread, automates financial spreading by extracting income statements, balance sheet information and cash flow figures directly from PDFs, tax returns and bank statements, removing the need for manual data entry.
Crediflow AI also offers a Bank Statement Analysis tool that provides additional insights by automatically categorising transactions across multiple accounts, reconciling them with submitted financial records and identifying potential risk indicators. These include unusual transaction activity, cash flow fluctuations and concentration risks.
According to the company, its technology can reduce credit analysis processes that traditionally take several days to just 10 to 30 minutes. The platform is already being used by hundreds of credit professionals across the UK, Europe and the United States, with customers including AddWorking Capital and Iveco Capital.
Kenfack, CEO and founder of Crediflow AI, said, “Growing a loan book takes more than finding borrowers and having capital available. You need the capacity to assess those businesses, get decisions through approval and stay on top of risk once the money is out the door. I’ve spent much of my career doing that work.”
“When every transaction requires hours of manual preparation, it affects how much business a lender can take on and which deals are worth pursuing. We built Crediflow to bring that workload down and give credit teams more time to understand the borrower and structure the financing,” he added.
Crediflow was previously chosen as one of eight businesses to receive funding through PXN’s PraeSeed programme, a 12-week cohort-based initiative delivered in collaboration with the British Business Bank and NPIF II.
The latest funding will help the company speed up platform development, strengthen its engineering and product teams, and bring more banks and specialist lenders onto the platform. Crediflow also intends to expand automation across the entire lending process, from loan origination through to ongoing monitoring, while tailoring workflows to individual lenders’ credit policies.
