Hamburg-based software company Procuros has raised €20 million in a Series A round to advance its AI-native supply chain connectivity platform and accelerate international expansion. The round was led by XAnge, with existing investors Point Nine, Creandum and b2venture also participating, alongside several angel investors.

Procuros is building infrastructure to simplify how businesses exchange data across supply chains. Today, companies often rely on a fragmented mix of traditional electronic data interchange (EDI), one-off integrations and manual processes to exchange documents such as purchase orders, dispatch notices and invoices.

Many of these transactions still arrive as PDFs, spreadsheets or even faxes, forcing employees to manually enter data, track documents, fix errors and handle exceptions. Connecting individual trading partners can also take months and often requires technical resources from both companies.

Procuros is designed to replace this point-to-point approach with a single connection through which companies can exchange data with multiple trading partners, regardless of the systems, formats or technical capabilities they use.

Its platform validates and standardises data exchanged between businesses, creating a common data layer that can also be accessed by AI agents to automate supply chain transactions.

Patrick Thelen, CEO and co-founder of Procuros, said that while AI is developing rapidly, supply chains continue to rely on decades-old infrastructure, leaving operations teams to bridge gaps between systems that are unable to communicate effectively:

We built Procuros to change that. Our infrastructure gives retailers, suppliers and AI agents the connectivity and trusted data they need to automate trade and make autonomous supply chains possible. Because ultimately, AI agents are only as good as the infrastructure they run on.

From an investor perspective, XAnge highlighted Procuros’ traction across the DACH region and its potential to expand into international markets. Valerie Bures-Bönström, Partner and Managing Director DACH at XAnge, said the company has proven its model at scale in the region while building infrastructure that allows AI agents to operate across trading networks. She added that XAnge sees an opportunity for Procuros to expand beyond its home market and establish a new category in global B2B trade.

Procuros will use the funding to scale its go-to-market efforts, further develop its AI-native supply chain infrastructure and accelerate international expansion. The company plans to bring more businesses onto its network while enabling AI agents to automate a growing range of workflows across companies and markets.
